Here's the information about housing for All State.
All State will again be at the San Antonio Airport Hilton, 611 Northwest Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78216, where we have been the last few years.
The concert will be at Laurie Auditorium on the Trinity University Campus.
For all our new members, All State always starts the last Thursday in January, this year it's the 29th with the concert being on Saturday, January 31th. Registration starts at noon and rehearsals/chair placement auditions will start around 2:00 PM.
The room cost is $99.00 per night whether there is one person or four people in the room. Added to that cost are certain state and city taxes. If you bring a tax exempt form with you, or faxed it down early with your school credit card, you will be exempt from Texas State Sales Tax only. You will still have to pay the other city hotel taxes.

They need to tell the reservations clerk that they are TPSMEA parents for us to get "credit" for their stay. The hotel will start taking parent reservations after January 1, 2009.
BEFORE you go home for Christmas I need a list of directors, chaperons and students who will be attending All State emailed to me. I know some of you will not know the names of the chaperons or bus drivers till we get closer to the date so "chaperon" or "bus driver" will work fine. Our rooming list is due to the hotel on December 26th. I will be working during the Christmas break to make our initial room request. Please make sure the names on your email are spelled correctly because I use the rooming list to make up the name tags for everyone.
I need to know the following for each room:
1.) Your rooming list should show who's in each room (there are a few roll-always for schools who need to put 5 in one room)
2.) if your leaving on Saturday night after the concert or Sunday
3.) if your adult rooms need two double beds or one king bed
4.) any special needs for you or a student.

As in the past, I will try to put together shared rooms for those schools who don't have enough students to put four in a room and want to share expenses with another school. This is for students only. Before you arrive, you will need to make arrangements with the other director who has students in the room concerning the payment to the Hilton. The room will cost the same whether or not there are two, three or four in the room and the cost must be shared by each person in the room.
After January 1st, I will be emailing out copies of the spreadsheet with the room information for you to check and make sure what's on the spreadsheets going to the Hilton is correct.
The last day to make corrections on the rooming list will be January 22nd.
Finally, you don't have to have students in All State to attend. We make a lot of decisions for the next year at this meeting and your ideas and vote is needed. We need every member there in January at the division meetings and the general meetings!
Plan on attending.
