Hello Regions 1-2-3 Vocal People!
Greetings from Art, Kimberly, and Jeremy at St. Agnes Academy, Houston! [You remember us? The crazy people you elected to head up the Vocal Division? I wanted to gently remind you that, in fact, you DID elect us – so whatever happens, it is ALL on your heads!]
This is our first official communication to you – and I approach this with not a little fear and trembling. In the last 3 weeks, as I have been attempting to pull together a calendar for next year, I have grown a renewed respect for Kathleen – and Ryan before her – and Donna before him. There is a sizable learning curve in this job. And unfortunately, there is no infused knowledge or wisdom that comes with the crown. So “patience,” “flexibility,” and humor will be our motto.
Attached is the vocal division calendar for 2007-2008. A couple of site hosts are still pending confirmation, but the dates should be in a wet concrete.
NOW – for the BIG announcement! Since we three are working together like the well oiled team we are, we have divided the spoils. From this day forward, to the day that you seek our impeachment, the following rubric is in stone:

We hope that this arrangement will simplify both your life and ours.
Be of good cheer – the school year is almost at an end, and we can all relax for a few hours before it all begins again.
With every hope for a successful end of the year, a restful summer, and creative planning for the future.

PS. The All State repertoire should be in your hands in another week. Ron Matthews has given me a deadline of April 27 to submit the audition pieces to him so we can ALL have the audition rehearsal CD’s by the end of May.
