Contest is open to all band, orchestra, and piano students 5th – 12th grade. It’s recommended that students perform selections listed in the PML, but it’s not required (especially for the younger middle school students). Those students receiving a 1st division on a Class I solo or ensemble (must be listed in PML) will qualify for the State Solo/Ensemble Contest in May.
NEW THIS YEAR! - We've grown so much over the past few years to allow us to have a room designated just for flutes and one just for brass/ww ensembles (no piano in the ensemble room). Please indicate how many flute solos/duets/small ensembles you have. Email is fine.
Percussion equipment that will be available:
concert bass drum, snare drum, crash cymbals, suspended cymbal, xylophone, vibraphone, marimba, orchestra bells, set of timps (32”,29”,26”,23”). Please bring the auxiliary percussion equipment that your percussionists need.

Cost is $7 per solo and $7 per ensemble participant (made payable to TPSMEA)
Mail everything (D1) to .... (HOLD OFF UNTIL WE'RE SURE WHERE TO MAIL THINGS. YOU CAN SEND THEM TO B.Donnell)
- Students bring form D 4 with them.

- Call me with scheduling needs as soon as you know them. I will schedule your school in a block and leave individual times up to the director.
