Notice Something New.......

2009-2010 MEMBER REGISTRATION starts May 1st. Returning members of TPSMEA need only to login into their solochair.com account and print a new membership invoice for the 2009-2010 school year.  Send a copy of the invoice along with your check to TPSMEA, PO Box 26773, Benbrook, TX 76126-0773.  New invoices will be available by May 1, 2009.  Please do NOT create a new solochair account.  If you have forgotten your login or password, email Ron and he will send it to you. We post membership checks after July 1st.

TPSMEA WEBSITE HACKED...in case you missed it, TPSMEA.org got hacked the week of April 6th. Our site along with several others on the same server were hacked by person/s unknown.  Ours was not hurt as bad as some others and the site has been restored. 

NEW AND RETURNING MEMBER REGISTRATION ....TPSMEA uses the music website SoloChair located at www.solochair.com for membership registration and to register our students for contests.  Click on the "Create New Teacher Account" and follow the instructions.  It is very important that you answer all the questions, especially the questions about what you teach, grade levels you teach, etc.  We are using the information you provide in solochair for our email lists.  The division VPs will sort the email list from solochair according to what you teach.  You will not receive the divisional emails if you are not registered or if you don't list what levels and classes you teach.  If you have already registered please make sure all the information is there and correct.  Thanks!!

Join TPSMEA for 2008-2009 by clicking on the button on the right column and registering at solochair.com.  You will then need to print a TPSMEA membership invoice from your members page at solochair and send a copy of it along with your dues to TPSMEA, P.O. Box 26773, Benbrook, TX 76126-0773.  It that simple.

Welcome to TPSMEA, the Texas Private School Music Educators Association.  We are an organization formed and run by musicians dedicated to providing outstanding musical experiences for students in private and parochial schools in Texas.   Private education provides a unique, varied and personalized avenue for arts education.  TPSMEA provides a wonderful vehicle to enhance the specialized music programs of these outstanding private educational institutions.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the TPSMEA All-State Band, Choir and Orchestra.  We provide competition opportunities in Concert and Sight Reading for large ensembles.  Individual student development is further encouraged in our Solo and Small Ensemble competition.  Through these activities and more we are constantly striving to create quality musical experiences that will inspire and challenge our students.
